Bhante Sujatha | The Loving Kindness Monk | Covid-19 Donations
At this very moment, Covid 19 is reaching a peak on the people of Sri Lanka. The whole country has been on lockdown for the last two weeks, and it is scheduled to continue for another week; quite possibly through the end of the month. So many people affected by the virus here are dying. Especially in this developing nation, the strain on the hospital’s systems is too much to handle. What’s more, the lockdowns being held to limit the spread of the virus are devastating and an already strained economy. So many people live on daily wages here, and in the best of times it can be hard to find even their basic needs. I have never forgotten my country. In the first 21 years of life I received so much from this country: free education, food, and free health care. I feel the need to do something to help when I think about this time. I feel I cannot be still, and that it would be selfish not to help those poor people. Here on this island nation, people offer all the needed support to the monks and temples. I think that this is my time to give back. I have committed my whole life to adding more love to the world, and so far, I always do. Today, we donated to 50 families a gift of dry food and some items for basic needs. I am so grateful to my worldwide sangha who helps accomplish my mission. Together, we are all working together to add more love to the world. I am humbled, and thank you all so much for trusting my work and supporting me these many years . I can’t express to you how grateful those people were today, and know that they are sending blessings to you all.❤️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽 https://bhantesujatha.org/
