House Offering 3 @ 2022 | නිවාස පරිත්යාගය
Today we offered a home to a family in need. The small family of three are the recipients of the fourth, and final home we will be donation for our 2021/2022 house project season.
The donation ceremony today was simple and limited due to the current economic crisis and energy shortages in Sri Lanka. While it was fortunate that the home could be completed despite the ongoing challenges, many people who hoped to attend today were unable to make the journey to join. Even still, our small group of friends and neighbors brought all their good spirits and wishes for the family and a bright future ahead.
In this village, there were many children, and I can see they will all grow together and support each other as time goes on. Just the friends and neighbors supported to build this home, this village will carry on as a large family.
It is for this reason my heart is full today. I know we did something not just for this family, but for a community, and in the same way, the world.
I want to offer my deepest gratitude to the Gordon family foundation for their annual support of this program, and special thanks to everyone who supported the creation of this home including the team at Sanatha Suwaya, and Asanka Construction for donating his time, skill, and workers.
