House Offering 2 @ 2022 | නිවාස පරිත්යාගය
We know that life is short and precious. We know that although it can be difficult, this beautiful human life is a gift. We also know, that we can’t be sure of what comes next. The wise keep the uncertainty of life in the front of their mind, and always find a way to do wholesome deeds. Using the time they have, rather than lamenting over the unknown future or unchangeable past. This is what I was taught in my training as a young monk. Now, as a grown monk, I am so grateful to this teaching and training. I think that everyday could be my last. This keeps me motivated to use each day the best I can, while I can. For the last many years, I have been building houses in Sri Lanka for families in need. It started with one house years ago, and thanks to the generous support of my friends and students over the years, we have been able to construct a few houses each year. This year the Ottolino family along with the Nelson Insulation Company built a house in memory of my father for his one-year memorial service. My heart is so full of gratitude and joy as I write this, thinking of my dear friends Paul and Anna Ottolino. Thanks to their continuing support, unwavering trust, and vigorous energy, they always find new ways and reasons to participate in all of these projects that I have named my Choose Loving-Kindness Initiative. In this moment I am sending my deepest blessings to Paul, Anna, and their whole family. Thank you so much for helping me add more love to the world! ❤️😊🙏🏽
